Facts about the Rottweiler

The Rottweiler is a medium to large size breed of domestic dog that originated in Rottweil, Germany. The dogs were known as “Rottweil butchers’ dogs” (German: Rottweiler Metzgerhund) because they were used to herdlivestock and pull carts laden with butchered meat and other products to market.[1] Some records[which?]indicate that earlier Rottweilers may have also been used for hunting, although the modern Rottweiler has a relatively low hunting instinct.

The Rottweiler was employed in its traditional roles until the mid-19th century when railways replaced drovingfor getting livestock to market. While still used in herding, Rottweilers are now also used in search and rescue, as guide dogs for the blind, as guard or police dogs, and in other roles. They are also used for films because they are so completive. Rottwilers are very good listeners and soon learn new tricks. It is a better option to get a pet Rottweiler when it is young so it can get used to you, a Rottweiler can be aggressive to start but will soon learn you are the boss. Rottweilers are perfect family pets they interact with children and keep you safe, they are  used for Garddogs herding cattle and friendship.

Should you be aggressive with your dog?

When you shout at your dog it learns that you are the boss, but if you smack it and punish it more than you should it starts to bark when you go near, fights with you and is shy around you. Dogs that are shy around you means the dog is always shy or the owner has been mistreating it. Allowing your dog to understand you, the dog soon leans you are the boss, they are calm then soon you and your dog build up a good friendship.

Is it a good idea to keep your dog in the house all the time?

Some of you may keep you dog in the house all the time, if that is you maybe you should put out a toilet aria and give them a wide space to play around in. But your dog should only stay in the house all the time at ages around birth to one year. Keeping it in the house half it’s life or more allows your dog to be lazy, it causes it to be nervous around people or other dogs and it can become aggressive. If you want any help getting your dog outside or help with it’s behavior please fill out the form.

Do dogs smile?

I bet at one point in your life you wondered if your dog or someone else’s ever smiled. Well if you look in a  dogs brain and how it reacts, they don’t understand the meaning smile and there faces are built to open and close, so the dog cant stretch it’s mouth. What us humans have found out is that a dog uses actions to show if it’s sad, happy, exited or ill. The dog then wags it’s tale to tell you it’s happy.
